I am a professional dog groomer, and we hear SO many complaints about this tool, and have gained so many new nail grinding clients since it's introduction. It doesn't have good battery life, and isn't tough enough for a large dog's nails.

The Dremel MiniMite is a MUCH better investment, because it actually has enough power for larger dog's toenails. It is light weight, not too noisy, easy to control. I've only had two dogs in the past month (out of a couple hundred) that objected to it too badly to finish the job.

It doesn't have a guard, but just do a swipe at a time until you figure out how much it'll take off. If youre not sure how to do this, google "toenail grinding" and you'll be able to figure it out pretty quick.

It is still possible to quick dogs with these tools, and if you press and hold them, the heat caused by the friction does become uncomfortable.

For really long nails, it's best to trim off the excess with a regular nail trimmer, and then after that you can upkeep them without trimming, just the grinding. Still waiting.....

I haven't been able to even use this product. Because of the high-pitched noise my dog is terrified by it and you have to get your pet accustom to the trimmer and the noise. Depending on your pet that could take weeks, months. Then they have the same product at Walgreens for the same price if not cheaper so save yourself shipping cost and get it around the corner at Walgreens.

I've seen this brush in action a few times before and figured it has to work wonders on my cat who loves to vomit everywhere. I had expected better results with the FURminator. It did O.K. with my medium long hair cat, but not any better than a less expensive fur rake does with my long thick fur cat. I suggest going with a longer width than what is recommended for cats. In my opinion, the short width of the tool made it tedious when combing my extra large cat.
If I had had the opportunity of trying this product before buying, I probably would not have bought it at the given price.

I'm on my second bottle of Angels Eyes because it really works! No more brown tear stains on white dogs! I have found, however, that the amount recommended per dosage is perhaps a bit high. One can get the same results on less (you have to experiment).

The Superyard XT is just what we needed. We already had gates on the stairs but our little one who recently found his new freedom that crawling allowed didn't want to stay in the living room and play with his toys any longer. To begin with, I purchased this product from my vet, not from here.

I am always taking walks in the woods with my dogs. This year was a really bad tick year in my area, and my dogs were getting inundated with ticks. I'd pull out whatever ticks I found and then figure, "Oh well, Frontline will take care of the ones I couldn't find".

I was wrong: even now, two weeks after our last walk in the woods, I am still finding very much alive, engorged ticks on my dogs. Bear in mind: I apply it every month, and one of the ticks that I found today was just in the spot where Frontline is applied!

You know what saved my dogs? The Lyme disease shot they received before all this happened!

Frontline may or may not work with fleas, that I don't know, but it certainly does not work with ticks. Anyone who lives in a tick-ridden area, don't rely on this product: get your dogs a Lyme disease shot instead.Great Price on This!

I honestly don't know if this product works because I don't need it. What I've been using for years works for my cats. I've had a total of four cats that I've used this on and have absolutely no problems with fleas or ticks. Two of these cats were indoor/outdoor cats, in Florida, where fleas are more than abundant. I simply put an amethyst in their water. I know, it makes no logical sense. I thought the same thing when a friend told me, but I tried it anyway and for some reason it works. The first time I used it was with my cat Zeus. I had just gotten him out of the pound and he took off on me for 10 days. When he came back he was loaded with fleas (he was white, and the fleas were very visible on him). I put an amethyst in his water and didn't use anything else. Within a day or so, they were gone. Since then I have never put anything on any cat for fleas. You can buy an amethyst stone in any new age store for a dollar or two. Because I have a dog and three cats I have a large water bowl so I put two in it, just to be sure. (No, I'm sorry, it doesn't work for dogs).

If ticks are the problem, I'm not sure about the amethyst. I don't live in a heavily wooded area. Zeus had no ticks on him when he came home with the fleas but I've never found a tick on my cats either. Is it because there are simply no ticks in my area or does the amethyst work for ticks too? I don't know.

Personally, I love not putting chemicals on my cats, and how much more cost effective can you get than one investment of a couple of dollars that lasts forever?cheaper than petmed.com
