I received these mugs as part of a set for our wedding five years ago. I still have all of them intact, with almost daily use.

These cups hold quite a bit of liquid, and I found that I needed to re-estimate how much coffee to make if several people were partaking, to be sure they all got a full cup. They are great for hot chocolate, but again, be sure to measure in order to get the proper liquid/cocoa mix ratio. The large capacity means even more chocolaty goodness! I sometimes use the mugs instead of bowls if I want to portion-control a serving of ice cream, or even some cereal.

The stoneware holds in heat very well, and I have no problem with my drink getting cold before I'm done with it. The same goes for cold items; ice cream stays cold and doesn't melt too much. The mugs are microwave and dishwasher safe. Microwaving can produce a lot of heat, but luckily it doesn't transfer into the handle too much. Just be careful about touching the rest of the mug.

If you are a hot tea person, you may have a little trouble with these mugs. I generally forget when I put the tea in, so I have to judge by the color whether or not it has steeped long enough. It's black inside. I had a few cups of weak tea before I just started setting a timer.

Overall, I think these mugs are very nice. They are heavy without being too heavy, have a good capacity, and insulate hot and cold items very well. They have lasted five years, and will continue to be a part of our kitchen for many more.
