I ordered these for my husband's birthday because he needed a pair of grilling gloves. When I received the package and read the box, the product cautions that these gloves are to be used ONLY with hot food. So much for manning the smoker. Sure, he will use these to pull piping hot pork and shred steaming brisket, but if you are looking for something to use while BBQ-ing, find another pair. I wish the product overview would have made this clear.OK but there are better BBQ gloves.

I do quite a bit of smoking meat and they do well with the heat issue but they are very slippery so handling greasy meat is not easy plus they stain. I throw them in the washing machine but some stains stay on them. I would not think you could use these on high heat grilling jobs but for real BBQ low and slow they work OK.

I just purchased similar gloves from TexasBBQrub and they are black so won't show stains as bad and they are textured so not as slippery and they cost the same as these.

right after I received this rack and used it, I saw one in my local HD store for a fraction of the price. granted, it doesn't have the beer can holder which is not a big deal as you can use the beer can itself and no tray either, which is not a loss either, since this tray is too small anyway. I use another slightly larger cat iron pan instead as this tray is too small for all practical purposes.

I really was astonished at how well this chip blend brought a great smokey flavor to my chicken breasts. These chips are blended in a well thought out way which takes out the guess work in good smoking. The price per weight is actually pretty cheap, and the size is consistent. I can't think of a single reason why you should not try these chips. It just makes you weekend barbeque that much easier to manage.

Thses are some great skewers, wide enough where the food does not spin when you rotate them. The biggest drawback is they are NOT dishwasher safe and it is NOT marked on the package. I would definately recommend these but again, do not put them in the dishwasher, they will rust the first time.no more soaking skewers

These are perfect kabob skewers. Very sturdy, sharp point to get through food, wide flat edge so the food doesn't spin around when you are flipping them as it invariably does with round skewers. More expensive than bamboo skewers but unless you lose these, they should last forever. Pay attention to the measurements as these bad boys are long. I have a WSM 22.5 inch and 22 inch Performer and these fit but not on my 18 One Touch Silver or the little Smokey Joe. If you have a small grill these may not work. Otherwise, they are perfect.

Works very well! I am very pleased! I had a silicone mop before and it did not hold liquid like this one does. The tip comes off for convenient cleaning. You may be able to find a similar mop of lesser price. I did not want to drive around town looking for one. After you add in the gas you used for driving around town, the price of the cheaper mop would probably equal this one. I say this because the "Raichlen" name on this mop probably raises the price. I was disappointed with this item. I bought it to put charcoal in and it is far to small. It will not hold a regular bag of charcoal and the lid does not fit tight. After receiving it I think it is over priced for the size.

I think the person who gave this a bad review didn't understand the purpose of these chips. They are not intended to be a heat source or even a dry supplement to coals. They are intended to increase and enhance the smoke. To use them correctly, you soak a large handful for about 1/2 hour. Just as I'm putting my pork shoulder on the smoker, I sprinkle these on top and around the edges of my mesquite hardwood coal. In combination, they provide a fantastic, balanced smoke.

Keep in mind that pork (ribs or shoulder) only absorb smoke in the first 2-3 hours. There is no need as the other reviewer suggested to constantly add these chips. One large soaked handful combined with mesquite coal and/or hardwood chunks, another smaller handful an hour later to keep the smoke steady and you're fine. I use one box about every 4 times I slow-smoke.Disapointing

I smoke meats (pork, beef, fowl) frequently. Unfortunately, local merchants only carry hickory and mesquite wood. I recently cured my first fresh ham, and, wanting a sweeter smoke, purchased these chips. I was very disappointed. The chips are small, and are consumed quickly, requiring feeding approximately every ten minutes. I consumed the entire box in three hours, and resorted to hickory chunks--my favorite wood--for the final hour.

Overall, these chips, while providing the desired sweet smoke, are, by comparison with local sources, pricey, and insufficient for the serious smoker. I pay $6.00 for three pounds of hickory chunks at the local Walmart, and get 3-4 four hour smokes from one purchase. I won't purchase again.

I was tired of using skewers that causing meat to spin around when I tried to turn them, so I gave these a try.
Good:
- They are definitely preventing the spinning meat problem.
- They have the perfect length, not too short not too long.
- Shape of the handle allows easy control of the skewer.

Bad:
- They are way too wide and if the meat chunks are not cut pretty big they get ripped into pieces when you try to insert the skewer.
- Shape of the handle causes uneven placement of the skewer on the grill surface as one side sits flat but the other side will sit with an angle due to the handle shape (not such a big deal)
- Sharp end could be cut on both sides. It takes some effort to go through the meat due the the thickness of the skewer.

Ugly:
- When I took them out the second time to use I notices rust marks! May be not such a great quality of stainless steel ...
