This charger worked great for 4 weeks.And then it happened! I Put 2 aaa NIMH Batteries in to be Recharged. Went to take a shower and when I came downstairs I just thought I would take a look at the status of the batteries. To my horror I saw 2 batteries with the acid leaking out of the jacket of the batteries! little bubbles of acid coming out.I turned it off but by this time it was so hot i had to use a paper towel to remove them! after that,I noticed the bottom of the charger where the batteries lay was melted! WHAT!!! I called LACROSSE and they told me to send it back.I have another one on the way,ACCORDING TO THEM but i don't know if its a new version or not.It will be here in 3 days. if its the exact same one, I don't want it! This is a great product, but I did discover a few 'glitches'. If you put four batteries at a time, it works just as designed. If you add one battery at a time, and set the specific bay for the function desired (charge, discharge, test, refresh), and give it enough time to 'accept' your request, you're fine. If you already have one or more batteries charging, and try to put in 2 more, or 3 more, you would expect that the default change of 'mode', would apply to the recently added batteries, but that is not necessarily the case. It sometimes 'blinks' (to show which bay/cell you are programming) only one of the new batteries bays, and not all the ones you JUST added.

The workaround, is once you have one battery already charging, if you want to add more, just add and program ONE AT A TIME.

(one time, I did have a 'glitch' happen, where adding two more batteries, while one was already charging, it reset the charge mode for all three batteries, so the two batteries that were already deep into a 'refresh' cycle, obviously, had to be 'restarted'. DOH!)

There also seems to be 'limits' it places. Although you can charge/discharge at various current levels, some batteries I have put in, the La Crosse charger won't charge at a current higher than it's "minimum" (200ma charge, 100 ma discharge). This is especially true for AAA batteries, and in some cases (rarer) AA batteries as well.

Additional, I did have 'trouble' getting the charger to recognize Tenergy AAA batteries. It sees the negative connector lead on the charger is fairly 'low', so that if the 'plastic cover/lip' of the AAA battery goes too far into the center of the negative battery terminal, the negative connector lead on the charger, doesn't make a good contact, so the charger says "null" not recognizing there's a battery in there at all.

The work around for this problem, is to 'tilt' the AAA battery, so that it makes a better contact, and luckily, the positive charger lead, is 'grided' so it creates a 'grip' and doesn't just 'pop' the AAA battery out.

The features and functions of the LaCrosse charger are really cool and for a techno-geek is great to play with (allowing you to change the current from slow (and better for the battery) to fast (because you need them recharged ASAP, but harder on the battery's long term life)... to charge/discharge/refresh/test modes.

The only 'nit' is really that the negative charger lead, could have been better designed. In other battery charges, there is a very 'flexible' negative lead connector that allows for the variance in length between a AA and a AAA. In the LaCrosse, they have TWO separate negative lead connectors, one higher up for the AA, and one lower to catch the negative lead of a AAA battery, but low enough, not to come in contact if a AA battery were in the charging bay. However, this has lead to 'lack of connection' with some AAA batteries.

But overall, I'm still very happy with the purchase. Way better than the 'dumb' chargers I used to own (and still do).

My morning routine used to consist of digging cat "stuff" out of my garden beds, and trying to rescue as many of the newly sprouted seedlings as possible. Cats were getting in the garden nearly every day. I have to admit, I hesitated spending $60 on a sprinkler, but I could no longer put up with my garden being destroyed nearly every night.

The unit is very easy to set up and test. It was up and running in no time. We went on a 4 day vacation right after buying this product, and when we returned there had been NO ANIMALS in the garden! We were pleasantly surprised. We have now had this in place for 2 full weeks, with no issues at all. The unit has good range and sensitivity. You do have to remember it's on, as it won't discriminate between it's "owner" and an intruder. When you get soaked, you may say a lot of things, but you can't say it doesn't do it's job. I would definitely recommend this and would buy it again.

I was initially disappointed by what seemed to be a flimsy design - especially of the "valve" that is supposed to control the water flow. However, the device works astonishingly well at cleaning my grill - usually a single pass at a hot grill and I am down to bare metal. The head has two brushes and the user is instructed on how to use both - but I've found that the main brush is adequate. It's a little uncomfortable on a large cooking surface as a good deal of steam is generated, but the results are very satisfying.

This Weber set did not disappoint me.

I've had many different barbeque utensil sets in the past, none of which meet the quality of this set. While other sets came with many different tools and carrying case, they were all flimsy and easily flexed under the weight of a steak, roast, etc.

These tools are solidly-built, strong and durable. I've been using them for the past month and don't have a complaint about them. While there's no storage case, that's not a big deal - I store them in a kitchen cupboard.

I'll take the durability of these tools over gimmicky kits with more tools than I really need.

Than you need the tins. When food cooks in your Weber grill, the drippings come out of the bottom and are collected in these drip pans. Most of the dripping are fat which is flamable. If you don't clean or replace the drip pans, you have the potential for a real fire hazard -- espciallly if your grill is near your house. My Weber grill is quite a distance from the house and is on a cement slab so I don't need to worry too much. My main concern is that the hose from the propane tank might catch on fire if the drip pan ignites. This is a good way to make sure that your grill is safe.Essential item for Weber gas grill

You can use aluminum foil to line the drip pan of your Weber gas grill, but these are the perfect alternative. They fit snugly into the drip pan and hold up well over many weeks of use. I bought this liitle pump to blow up our rectangular pool. It filled it up within 20-25 minutes, pretty fast for a little pump, but, be aware it IS NOISY. YES IT IS! It seems everyone I know can just spit a seed onto the ground and grow beautiful flower gardens. Never having gardened before, I wanted to protect my investment (who knew all that dirt, fertilizer, amendments and flowers would be so expensive?)

I have a side yard that kills any plant unfortunate enough to be planted there. Heavy, dense clay soil with early morning sun and then deep shade. I was hoping to use the Easybloom to find something (anything) that could live in those conditions. Five times, despite following the instructions step by step, the Easybloom recommended a list of plants that all shared the same traits: the need for full sun and "loamy, well drained soil".

Now if the Easybloom Dashboard had simply told me not to bother planting until I improved the soil and the sun exposure, I could live with that, then I would know that Easybloom was actually analyzing SOMETHING. But to recommend plants that are totally unsuited for the soil and sun conditions is useless. I guess it's back to the county ag extension office to bother the Master Gardeners that congregate there.

Let me start by saying I definitely have a brown thumb, in fact, my husband says I cannot grow mold on old bread. However, I purchased the topsy turvey tree (the one with three holes around the side of the bag and the stand) and I am being overrun with tomatoes. It is set up on my deck and despite some pretty severe storms and wind it has stood solid as the Rock of Gibralter. The plants get a good 10hrs of direct sunlight a day. I put grape tomato seedlings in one hole, big boys in another, and romas in the third. Apparently grape tomatoes come on early because I have been enjoying them since the third week of June. The big boys and romas are abundant but not yet getting red. I give them two gallons of water in the morning and two at night...unless it rains. My thinking is that the plants don't get any water from the ground (just what I give them) and the sun evaporates any "excess" water during the day. I have designated Friday as "fertilizer Friday" so I don't forget to give them their MiracleGro regularly. As an inexperienced gardener who did this as a grand experiment I am thrilled to death to be enjoying my unexpected harvest. Maybe sometimes ignorance really is bliss.
